Peripatetic Manager (Nursing) – Elderly Care Home

Compass Associates are working with a respected care provider on a senior appointment within their Scottish portfolio. The organisation is seeking an experienced Peripatetic Manager to support nursing homes in the Glasgow area.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity suited to a nurse-qualified manager with a strong background in turnaround, service recovery and building stable, engaged teams. Capabilities in clinical practice, medication management, staffing consistency and overall culture are essential. The incoming manager will play a central role in strengthening governance, increasing confidence with external stakeholders and supporting long-term sustainability.

Key responsibilities:

* Leading the immediate operational and clinical stabilisation

* Implementing clear standards around medication safety, quality assurance and day-to-day governance

* Working closely with the Operations Manager and regional support to lift develop local authority relationships

* Strengthening permanent staffing, including supporting staff currently in post

* Providing visible leadership that encourages accountability, strong communication and a positive working culture

* Supporting occupancy increases

Candidate profile:

* Nurse-qualified with active NMC registration

* Significant experience managing nursing homes, including turnaround or recovery

* Strong understanding of regulatory expectations, quality improvement and clinical governance

* Confident in leading teams through change and embedding new standards

* Skilled communicator, able to collaborate with senior stakeholders and external agencies
