An exciting opportunity has become available at NRG Riverside within our Leeds depot. We are looking for an experienced Depot Manager to join the team and help us on our journey to growth. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and effectively leading and managing all departments within the depot, maintaining a good level of operational management, team management, budgeting and costs, safety and compliance, customer care, and quality standards and monitoring. Qualifications Experience from within a similar role as a Depot Manager within the HGV Industry 5 years experience in a HGV workshop management position (Essential) Management or leadership qualification NVQ (Preferable) NVQ or City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Technology (Light & Heavy) (Preferable) IOSH trained and certified (Preferable) Strong team management skills evidenced by a steady history of working within a leadership role Experience in managing the day-to-day activities of a Commercial Vehicle Workshop Proven skills in productivity and efficiency management Knowledge and understanding of compliance & Operators licence requirements Technical background in respect of commercial vehicle repair Financial management experience, particularly KPI reporting, P&L responsibilities Leadership & people management experience Experience in the Waste & Recycling industry would be great, but not essential Highly organised with the ability to delegate work and manage workload Responsibilities Overall management of the depot and its teams, ensuring optimum productivity is maintained at all times Management of Line Managers, including their coaching and development, one‑on‑ones, development plans, absence management and performance management, and all other necessary HR duties Setting expectations and responsibilities throughout the depot in line with operational requirements Monitoring productivity throughout each Department, taking action when performance issues arise Ensuring the depot and its teams adhere to health and safety regulations and that safety policies are communicated to every employee Maintaining a high level of customer care, nurturing partnerships with customers and suppliers, and consistently meeting customers’ needs Committed to delivering service excellence Adhering to quality standards, monitoring as required, and ensuring all staff are up to date with relevant legislation Monitoring all depot financial/operational costs and influencing their effect on profit and loss Benefits Excellent depot-based bonus of up to £4,500 Company Car 33 days annual leave (inclusive of statutory) Salary Sacrifice pension Employee Assistance Program OnDemand GP and face‑to‑face counselling sessions Online health advice portal Benefits portal including retail, leisure, and holiday discounts Dedicated training and development to support your career with our business Recommend a friend bonus (up to £2,000) Death in Service (available from day one of employment) Wellbeing programme Free onsite parking Free uniform Application Process We accept all varieties of applications.
