Community Safety Enforcement Officer (Job ref: 3839) Starting salary: £46,006 Job Level: Level 4, Zone 1 Work Location: 5 Pancras Square, N1C 4AG Hours per week: 36 Contract type: Multiple permanent positions Closing date: Sunday 30th November 2025 at 23:55 Alternative flexible working options available / open to discussion About the role As a Community Safety Enforcement Officer you will support local communities and tackle anti‑social behaviour and environmental crime. You will work closely with residents, businesses and partner organisations to identify and resolve issues that affect the quality of life in Camden. The role is highly visible and community‑based, involving patrols, direct engagement with citizens, and the use of enforcement powers where necessary. You will investigate complaints about littering, fly‑tipping and graffiti, prepare evidence and case files for legal action, and contribute to wider community safety initiatives related to drug misuse, serious violence and violence against women and girls. Flexibility is essential, as some work will take place outside standard office hours. Key responsibilities Support local communities to tackle anti‑social behaviour and environmental crime. Work closely with residents, businesses and partner organisations to resolve issues. Investigate complaints, prepare evidence and case files for legal action. Engage directly with citizens during patrols and community events. Contribute to community safety initiatives on drug misuse, serious violence and violence against women and girls. Operate with flexibility, including working outside standard office hours. About you Experience working in an enforcement or community safety setting. Good understanding of legislation and policies related to anti‑social behaviour and environmental issues. Effective communicator, able to build trust with residents and partners.
