Graduate Teaching Opportunity - Modern Foreign Languages Kickstart your journey into teaching Modern Foreign Languages with a clear route to SCITT. Location: Wigan. Contract: 1-3 school terms (via agency). Progression: Priority interview for a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme. The Role You'll be based in a supportive Wigan secondary school, helping teachers and pupils on a day-to-day basis while developing key classroom and communication skills. It's a great chance to see what teaching is really like before committing to a training course. Responsibilities Support pupils in lessons, small groups or one-to-one Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment Develop behaviour management and leadership skills Contribute to pupils' progress and wellbeing We're Looking For A degree in Modern Foreign Languages A genuine interest in working with young people Strong communication and teamwork skills A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn Commitment to progress to Initial Teacher Training (ITT) What You'll Gain Paid experience, from £90 per day, within a welcoming school environment Ongoing support from both the school and our agency team Real classroom experience to strengthen your teacher training application A priority SCITT interview on completion of your placement At the end of your placement, you'll be offered a priority interview for the partner SCITT programme - giving you a direct route towards achieving QTS.
