Care Team Leader (Deputy Manager) Organization: Oyster Care Homes – Tudor House, Thornbury, Bristol Location: Thornbury, Bristol, England Contract: Full‑time, Permanent Role Overview Lead by example and coach/mentor care teams to ensure residents are well cared for, motivated and stimulated to achieve a fulfilled and enriched life. Key Responsibilities Act as the person in charge of the home outside of office hours or in the absence of the General Manager and/or the Care Manager, ensuring legislation is adhered to and standards are maintained. Provide highest level of personal care to residents, following individual care plans and ensuring all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive. Serve as a key worker for a named group of residents. Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements (Health & Safety, COSHH, Health & Social Care Act, Infection Control) and maintain a safe environment. Conduct move‑in assessments for potential new residents as delegated, discuss findings with the General Manager and/or Care Manager before agreement. Participate in the formulation of individual care plans for each resident. Order and administer medication to residents as prescribed, maintaining accurate records. Maintain confidentiality of resident information at all times. Undertake general care assistant duties throughout the home as required. Complete quality audits and supervise/appraise staff as delegated by the General Manager or Care Manager. Be on call for the home in the event of an emergency on a rota basis. Shift Pattern & Pay You will work on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on, followed by three consecutive shifts off. Full‑time nights: 20:00‑08:00, average 42 hours per week.
