We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity at Potens for Waking Night Support Workers. William House is a supported living scheme in Darlington which provides specialist support for up to 8 individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism. William House staff members support adults (18+) to live independently in a wonderful location, which is close to amenities and recreational opportunities. All staff members receive thorough inductions and are led by an experienced and dedicated manager. Support hours for people we support vary according to individual care plans, and support is tailored around specific skills and needs. Full time 40 hours per week. Shifts time 9 pm to 9 am. Shifts can also change to suit the needs of the people we support, so flexibility is a must. Weekend and bank holiday working will be required. What you’ll be doing Supporting individuals with their personal, physical, and emotional needs throughout the night. Completion of nightly duties, including domestic and administrative tasks. Taking part in the chosen activities of the people we support. Undertaking training online and face to face where necessary. Personal care. Supporting one to one. Who you are Shifts can change to suit the needs of the people we support, so full flexibility is a must. The successful candidate will have the aptitude, desire, and commitment to work in social care with adults with a variety of needs. Flexible with an ‘can do’ attitude. Motivated and a team player. Experience working in a social care setting supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism is preferred but not essential. Drivers preferred.
