We are seeking a committed and experienced Deputy Manager for our 3-bed EBD residential home.Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will help lead the home with confidence and compassion, ensuring consistent, high-quality care, strong safeguarding practice, and a well supported staff team. You'll play a key role in shaping a positive culture where young people feel safe, understood and able to thrive.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the daily operations of the homeLead, supervise and develop the staff teamEnsure safeguarding and regulatory standards are consistently metContribute to care planning, LAC reviews and multi-agency meetingsPromote a safe, nurturing and relationship-focused environmentExperience & Qualifications1+ year in a Senior/Deputy role within a residential children's home2+ years experience in residential childcareExperienced in supporting young people with challenging behavioursAttendance at LAC reviews and safeguarding meetingsEducation to age 16 plus post-16 training/employmentLevel 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)Level 5 (desirable)Confident working with parents, carers and external agenciesSkills & AbilitiesBuild strong, trusting relationships with young people and staffEngage and support young people with adverse childhood experiencesMaintain clear professional boundariesHigh resilience, motivation and commitmentExcellent communication, listening and interpersonal skillsStrong literacy, IT and report-writing abilityAble to manage budgets and financial resourcesProvide and record high-quality supervisionsRepresent the organisation professionally at all timesFlexible, organised and able to prioritise workload.Shift Pattern & RequirementsAble to work early shifts (7:30-15:30) and late shifts (15:00-22:00)Some long days available.No Sleep ins.Flexibility is essential to meet service needsDriver preferred but not essential.Employee BenefitsMoney back on everyday healthcare costs (dental, optical, physio, etc.)24/7 virtual GP accessConfidential counselling and wellbeing supportAdvice line for medical, legal and practical issuesRetail and lifestyle discountsIf you are passionate about making a difference in young people's lives and ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
