Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard). About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist to join our team as a Bank BMS . Our laboratory operates a 24 / 7 service , and the successful candidate will be expected to participate in all shift patterns as allocated by the Pathology Lead to meet the service requirements. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering a professional and technical laboratory service, working effectively as part of a team while also performing routine analyses independently, with support from the Pathology Lead as required. Key Responsibilities Perform Haematology, Coagulation, Biochemistry, Immunoassay, and Blood Transfusion tests accurately and efficiently. Monitor quality control programs and assist with stock management. Maintain turnaround times (TAT), morphology, and cross-matching. Handle NHSBT referrals and provide component support for Major Haemorrhages. Working as part of a small, multidisciplinary team, this is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills, knowledge, and experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
