The Opportunity Role We are looking for an excellent and committed Pastoral and Learning Mentor to join our outstanding team working 8:15am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday, term‑time only plus INSET days on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2027. A typical week in this role may include the following: Responsibilities Support learners who are underperforming in their subjects, either on a one‑to‑one basis outside the classroom or within lessons. Provide class teachers with support to manage any behavioural needs in class or in a calm space. Liaise with relevant professionals and individuals, e.g. educational psychologists and social services. Support lunchtimes and play opportunities. Maintain regular contact with families/carers of children to keep them informed of the child's needs and progress, and to secure positive parental support and involvement. Develop and maintain the pastoral register for the school. About You You are likely to have experience of working within a school in a similar role and knowledge of barriers to learning and strategies/interventions to overcome them. You will be patient, empathetic, and approachable, with high expectations of all pupils. You will also be organised, proactive, and self‑motivated with good time management.
