**About the role**
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Pastoral Lead to join our team. You will assist in the educational, personal, and social development of students, helping them engage fully with their learning and achieve their potential. You will also support the smooth running of the academy on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Relationships: Establish effective relationships with students, staff, and external agencies. Monitor attendance and punctuality, provide intervention and mentoring, and engage with parents and carers.
- People Management: Provide advice and structured intervention to support positive student behaviour and attendance. Supervise students, organise homework clubs, and promote inclusion.
- Resource Management: Manage resources, maintain records, and produce study materials. Support the operational running of exams. Ensure high standards of communication and behaviour, and support the organisation of parent workshops.
- Decision Making: Make informed decisions regarding student behaviour and progress. Monitor attendance and punctuality, and ensure health and safety expectations are met.
- Work Demands: Manage a busy workload, respond to ad-hoc enquiries, and maintain confidentiality.
- Physical Demands: Assist with manual handling and personal care as needed. Escort and supervise students on educational visits.
- Working Conditions: Handle challenging situations, manage student behaviour, and maintain resilience in an emotive environment.
