TeacherActive is excited to be recruiting an enthusiastic, resilient and compassionate Behaviour Learning Mentor to join a friendly and supportive primary school located in Medway. This rewarding Behaviour Learning Mentor role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive—socially, emotionally and academically.
As a Behaviour Learning Mentor, you will work closely with children who may present challenging behaviours, require emotional regulation support, or need tailored interventions to help them fully engage in school life. You will also collaborate with teachers, SEND staff and families to create positive behaviour strategies that make a meaningful difference every day.
Key Responsibilities as a Behaviour Learning Mentor
Support pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement
Implement behaviour plans, restorative approaches and preventative strategies
Develop strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage positive progress
Work in partnership with teaching staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment
Keep clear records of progress and communicate effectively with the wider pastoral team
The Ideal Behaviour Learning Mentor Will Have
Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour or social/emotional needs
Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills
Patience, resilience and a nurturing nature
The ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
A proactive attitude and willingness to be involved in wider school life
