Job Title Pastoral Mentor Salary £12,575 - £13,271 pro rata (FTE £27,915 - £29,460) Location Multiple sites Hours and Weeks per Year 18.5 hours per week, 40 weeks per year Job Overview As a Pastoral Mentor, you will predominantly be based at one of our sites. Your focus will be on effective interventions to support the attendance, behaviour and commitment of our students. Responsibilities • Intervene with students to improve attendance, behaviour and commitment. • Work with 14-19 year olds with barriers to engaging with education. • Evidence understanding of the range of problems that may affect 16-18 year olds. Qualifications and Experience • A qualification relating to student support or youth work, or equivalent experience. • Demonstrable experience working with 14-19 year olds with barriers to engaging with education. • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. • Ability to demonstrate college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
