This is a strategic growth position – You will inherit an established platform with strong momentum and be tasked with taking it to the next level through targeted business development, sector positioning, and client relationship excellence. You will be responsible for shaping and delivering a clear growth strategy across M&E Hard Services - including maintenance, technical project delivery, and total facilities solutions, driving opportunities both within our existing portfolio and through new business wins. Core Activities Lead and deliver the Technical Services sales growth strategy in alignment with divisional and group objectives. Identify, develop, and secure M&E Hard Services contracts typically ranging from £1m to £10m in value. Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key clients, consultants, and industry partners. Oversee bid strategy, commercial submissions, and presentation delivery to ensure best-in-class tenders. Collaborate with operational and technical teams to develop compelling, commercially sound service propositions. Represent Carlisle Support Services as a technical FM specialist and thought leader within the marketplace. Individual contributor role supported by the wider facilities division. The ideal candidate Proven success in a senior sales or business development leadership role within the Hard FM / M&E Building Services sector. A demonstrable track record of winning and developing major blue‑chip contracts. Deep understanding of M&E maintenance, asset management, and technical facilities services. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to design profitable, sustainable service solutions. Desirable Prior operational or technical leadership experience (e.g., Operations Director, Technical Director) before moving into sales — combining delivery knowledge with commercial strategy. A natural collaborator who can influence, inspire, and align teams around growth goals. Why Carlisle?
