This post will work with consultant colleagues to deliver gastroenterology and/or hepatology services including ward commitment that will support existing gastroenterology inpatient ward cover and gastroenterology outpatient service delivery. The post could support an interest in advanced endoscopy and endoscopy training, nutrition, IBD or hepatology/HPB depending on the area of interest of the successful applicant. The post holder will be expected to participate in GIM and endoscopy on call rotas.In addition, we offer the opportunity to be involved in teaching and training, research and audit/quality improvement.Candidates for the post must be registered medical practitioners and on, or eligible to join, the Specialist Register within six months of the date of the Appointments Committee.Main duties of the jobThis post will be based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead.
