No.: CJD291125I Location: Based near Glasgow Salary: £25,0000 - £27,000 This is a phenomenal opportunity to join my client, a fresh, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy, currently in the process of establishing themselves as an industry-leading team of design experts in the Water and wider Civil Engineering sectors. They are actively seeking a capable, determined Graduate Civil Engineer with a particular interest in drainage and non-infrastructure design. You will work alongside a newly-established team of design engineers, based near the lively, artsy city of Glasgow. Benefits Competitive salary Employee Pension Scheme Generous annual leave allowance Dedication to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD), with good career progression opportunities Delivery of a number of exciting engineering projects across the local region Belonging to an enthusiastic team of talented design engineers Responsibilities Delivering an array of projects and developments across the residential, commercial, and industrial landscapes Liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors Preparing technical documents, such as reports and calculations Attending site visits Required skills and experience A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering A keen interest in working with water-based, non-infrastructure projects (such as reservoirs, water treatment plants, pumping stations, etc.) Good knowledge of drainage systems and strategies Proficient in the use of various design software packages (including Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) Good communication and interpersonal skills Desirable skills and experience A UK Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, or a similar, relevant discipline A commitment to attaining Chartered Status Hold a full, valid UK driving licenceExperience of working in a design-based role, within a UK-based consultancy setting Some experience of preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS) If you are interested in the role of Graduate Civil Engineer, please do not hesitate to contact Caroline Davis at Penguin Recruitment.
