Finance Manager – ACCA CareersJoin to apply for the Finance Manager role at ACCA CareersResponsibilitiesMonthly production and distribution of management accounts to include a variance analysis following a 5‑day month‑end closeMonthly production of balance sheet control account reconciliations with prompt investigation of any reconciling itemsReview coding in the nominal ledger and perform journal entries as required, keeping a monthly journal file for reviewProduction of monthly department budget reportsAssistance with the creation of the annual budget and reforecasts, including cash flow analysisImplement the new accounting system in collaboration with the Group Financial Controller, ensuring smooth and accurate transfer of data; ensure Group reports are accurate and timely; guide the department away from paper‑based records toward electronic record‑keepingAssist with the preparation of the Statutory Accounts lead schedules and annual external audit process, preparing information for the auditors and uploading onto their Inflo portalManage the quarterly VAT returns and processing of the VAT annual adjustment; liaise with HMRC and external professional advisers to ensure accurate VAT processing and reporting; maintain the register of assets for CGS calculationsSet up and manage monthly direct debit paymentsSupervisory responsibility for 3 finance assistants, including their annual appraisal and developmentOversee the management of the fixed asset register, ensuring depreciation is charged monthly to the nominal ledger and any additions or disposals are correctly accounted for; ensure new assets are correctly tagged and warranties held where appropriateOversee the purchase ledger function, ensuring internal controls are adhered to and supplier payment runs are effected twice per monthOversee the purchasing of consumables for payments via the company credit card and monthly reconciliation of the credit card account to authorised receiptsProfileRecently qualified / Part qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalentGood working knowledge of MS Office packages (Excel, Outlook, Word)Experience working with an integrated nominal ledger and sales ledger systemExcellent communication skillsDiligent approach to tasksAttention to detailLoyalty, tact, enthusiasm and flexibility£42‑50,000Seniority levelMid‑Senior levelEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionFinance and SalesIndustriesAccounting #J-18808-Ljbffr
