Maternity Healthcare Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Senior Midwifery Health Care Support Worker to become part of the Dingwall Community Midwifery Team. This post is based at Ross Lodge, Ross Memorial Hospital and covers the Dingwall, Black Isle, Beauly and Wester Ross caseloads. The team provides care to approximately 350 women and their families each year. The successful candidate will be flexible in their approach, be a good team player and have excellent time management and IT skills. Responsibilities include providing admin support to midwives (e‑roster, computer ordering systems, managing electronic diaries, etc.), supporting midwives at clinics (phlebotomy, blood pressure and urine checks), providing support with infant feeding and facilitating parent education on a one‑to‑one basis and in group settings. The role involves working unsupervised in various health care settings and in women's homes, and may also include working within other teams in the Inner Moray Firth area and Wester Ross. This is a part‑time post of 22.2 hours per week. A full driving licence and the use of your own car are essential.
