Safeguarding and Family Engagement Officer - Haverfordwest High VC School Salary: Grade 6 - £28,142 - £31,022 pro rata Grade 6 - £28,142 for 37 hours per week term time only for 49.6 weeks per annum equating to £26,771.06 pro rata rising to 49.7 weeks, £29,570.26 pro rata per annum after 5 years' service. Haverfordwest High VC School is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safeguarding and Family Engagement Officer to join our committed team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality pastoral care in the School, liaising with and working alongside the relevant pastoral staff including the Designated Safeguarding Team, Achievement Leaders, and Pastoral Assistants as well as external agencies and assist with all aspects of safeguarding across the school. The successful candidate will provide social inclusion support to pupils and families experiencing difficulties. They will support and enhance the community education programmes at the school and enable the school to meet its statutory duty to secure access and attendance at school and improve punctuality. In addition, you will help tackle underachievement by working in partnership with families, parents, carers, pupils and staff in a school context to enable pupils, particularly the most disadvantaged, to have full access to educational opportunities and overcome barriers to learning and participation.
