Go back Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Clinical Lead The closing date is 16 December 2025 The City South Local Mental Health Team (LMHT) are looking to recruit a compassionate and highly skilled Clinical Lead to join the LMHT management team. Working in collaboration with the Team Leader and members of the wider LMHT workforce, the Clinical Lead will be responsible for leading, monitoring and evaluating the clinical practice of the team driving towards clinical excellence. The post holder will provide and oversee clinical supervision and support the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high quality and safe patient centred care and provide senior clinical leadership within the service. Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinician Nursing/ Social Work/OT/Therapist/Other, with professional registration, to join our dynamic, well established Locality Mental Health Team. The post holder will be expected to lead on service transformation in line with the NHS Long Term Plan, co-produce and support the evolution of pathway interventions with the community mental services. You will lead the development of pathways of care across the community mental health teams to embed and implement new ways of working. The post holder will also be expected to deliver approved training in line with the clinical pathways. The successful candidate will evidence active clinical and managerial leadership skills within the team, providing education and supervision to junior staff members and other professionals. To participate in clinical leadership of the LMHT, working alongside the Team Leader and in coordinating the team in the delivery of high-quality multidisciplinary care. The post holder will ensure patients receive appropriate investigation, intervention and treatment with minimal avoidable delays, whilst improving the quality and experience of care. In collaboration with the team leader monitor and lead improvements to standards of care through, supervision of practice, clinical audit, evidenced based practice, teaching and supporting professional colleagues and the provision of skilled professional leadership. The post holder will hold qualification relevant to the LMHT Provision (Nursing/ Social Work/OT/Therapist/Other, will use these skills in collaboration with others to lead clinically in support of the delivery of high quality services to patients and families open to the service. To be responsible for completing specialist mental health assessments and developing treatment plans as an autonomous practitioner and to monitor interventions, ensuring compliance in accordance with Trust policy. To maintain professional standards, ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
