Our client is looking for a highly skilled Finance Manager to join a leading specialist business based in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to report to the MD whilst taking full control of an SME finance function.This business is a local digital specialist providing their services to a range of local clientele – from SMEs to large corporate brands – covering healthcare, eCommerce and professional services. This is a pre-existing role that will report directly into the Managing Director and support the wider business.The key aim of the role is to own and manage the accounting function of the business alongside supporting the Managing Director in establishing a robust and transparent finance function with a clear focus on strategic value-add elements. This role is well suited to finance professionals looking to step up and add value within an established SME.Duties and responsibilities to include:Production of full month end reports including management accounts, balance sheet management and bank reconciliationsProduction of management information packs for Board and CEOContinuous improvement of financial systems where neededResponsibility for actively improving all financial management proceduresLeading budgeting and forecasting processesProcessing of weekly payroll dataOversee year end process whilst acting as a point of contact for auditorsCompletion and submission of quarterly VAT returnsReporting weekly cash spend forecast and management of cash forecasting systemEngaging in in cost management reviews and improvement projectsPresentation of monthly financial review with senior management teamPerson specification:ACA / ACCA / CIMA QualifiedExperience of working within an SME finance functionFor further information or a private and confidential conversation either for this specific opportunity or your personal job search please contact Emma Berry or Jack Curtis on 0114 261 1700.Sharp Consultancy is a finance and accountancy recruitment specialist assisting accounting and finance divisions of businesses in the Yorkshire and Derbyshire area.
