Job SummaryCommunity Paediatrics is seeking a motivated locum clinician to cover maternity leave within a highly regarded service. The service hosts two Level 3 training posts in Community Paediatrics and an additional Level 2 post. The team consists of six (5.5 WTE) consultants, two associate specialists, and specialist nurses (2.6 WTE) focusing on ADHD management. Responsibilities Provide clinical care for children at Arrowe Park Hospital and the Child Development Offices at St Catherine's Health Centre, Birkenhead. Deliver child‑ and family‑centred care in partnership with Education, Social Services and Child & Adolescent Mental Health services. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adapt services to meet local needs. Participate in the introduction and development of skill mix across medical, nursing and allied professions within the department. Ensure compliance with national safeguarding policies and attend mandatory training, including Protecting Vulnerable People. Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Requirements Clinical registration and the ability to work as a locum in the UK. Standard or enhanced DBS disclosure (cost covered by the Trust, deducted from salary over three months). Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
