Recruitment Consultant specialising in AWS and DevOps About the Role We’re seeking a Platform/DevOps Engineer to lead infrastructure workstreams, develop scalable platform services, and shape best practices across engineering teams. You’ll design and maintain IaC, improve CI/CD pipelines, support adoption of automation and security standards, and guide junior engineers. Key Responsibilities Deliver platform infrastructure projects in collaboration with DevOps leadership. Build and maintain reusable, scalable infrastructure using Terraform and GitOps. Standardise and improve CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI). Develop self‑service tooling for engineering teams. Maintain consistent lower environments and identify legacy/unused resources. Support incident response and drive post‑incident improvements. Provide mentorship and line‑management support to junior engineers. Own documentation for platform tooling, IaC, and CI/CD processes. Contribute to architectural planning and long‑term platform strategy. Skills & Requirements Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM). Proficient with Terraform and IaC principles. Skilled with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI). Experience with GitOps, shared pipeline templates, and platform tooling. Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes. Strong networking, IAM, and security understanding. Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data platforms (e.g., MySQL, DynamoDB, Snowflake). Strong scripting ability (Bash, Python, or Go). Experience in high‑availability, cost‑conscious, fast‑paced environments. Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, DataDog, New Relic, Zabbix). Familiarity with code quality tooling (e.g., SonarQube). Understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, ISO 22301, etc.). Excellent communication and collaboration skills; mentoring experience desirable.
