You'll work in a dynamic and fast paced environment to provide an outstanding service for constituents. The JobThis is a full-time role based in the virtual regional office, with support required at meetings and visits in the Inverness area and elsewhere in the Highlands and Islands parliamentary region. Flexible working will be supported where possible. You will report to the Office Manager. Responsibilities Carrying out general office administration and acting as front of office for enquiries. Responding to all incoming correspondence while professionally managing each enquiry within agreed timescales. Coordinating, tracking and monitoring the handling of enquiries and ensuring they are dealt with timely and professionally. Drafting written correspondence such as letters, requests for information, and parliamentary questions and motions. Maintaining office records and compliance with data protection. Maintaining and managing records on the Caseworker.scot system. Ensuring compliance with data protection legislation and GDPR requirements. Organising diary commitments and preparing for all activities. Arranging surgeries, meetings, and travel. Communicating with parliamentary officials. Accompanying me to regional visits and other commitments. Providing direct support, such as passing on messages and taking appropriate notes, photos, and details from constituents to follow up as required. Supporting my work as a Highlands and Islands MSP. Pulling together information ahead of debates, visits, and events. Engaging with stakeholders and lobby groups to pursue issues. Working on projects with the rest of the team. Other tasks at the Office Manager’s discretion. Requirements Have excellent written, verbal and IT skills with accurate attention to detail. Be empathetic with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Have a flexible and adaptable approach, being able to use good judgement and work on own initiative.
