Specialist Engineer (Pressure Systems) - Technical Services Join to apply for the Specialist Engineer (Pressure Systems) - Technical Services role at Zurich Insurance About the role Working hours: This role is available on a part‑time, job‑share or full‑time basis. Salary: £58,000 (after qualifying period), plus car, plus allowances. Location: Home based (UK). Car policy: Essential Car User. Closing date: 12th December 2025. Zurich Engineering has a vacancy to support our Technical Services department. The role is primarily home‑based and offers an opportunity to develop and help shape the future of the Technical Services proposition. It is suitable for an existing Pressure Systems Engineering Surveyor or a suitably experienced engineer who is organised with effective time management and prioritisation skills, possesses working knowledge of the primary and secondary legislation associated with the role and typical equipment within scope. Qualified to at least HNC (Level 4) or degree level in a relevant engineering field (degree preferred) Experience with the engineering inspection industry Registered with the Engineering Council at least EngTech level; progression to I Eng expected within agreed timelines At least 2 years CPD record (minimum 30 hours per year) Sound understanding of design, construction and operation of equipment, plant and standards associated with the discipline Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations Appreciation and knowledge of ISO 17020 Capacity to work remotely and within a team environment effectively Strong organisational and prioritisation skills Desire to develop technical knowledge and understanding of equipment associated with the discipline Full valid UK driving licence and ability to travel for duties Excellent communication skills, both technical and non‑technical, including documentation and presentations Even if you do not satisfy all of the requirements listed, you are still encouraged to apply.
