Head of Digital Performance – Digital Expert & Business Owner | Be Better Online Are you an experienced, performance-driven digital marketer with a keen eye for value? We are looking for a Head of Digital Performance to lead and inspire our delivery team of specialists in SEO, PPC, SMA, CRO and Content. This pivotal role will be at the heart of how we deliver exceptional results for our clients, ensuring every project drives measurable impact, aligns with business objectives, and keeps us ahead of the curve in an evolving marketing landscape. Full‑time role based in Peterborough with the opportunity for hybrid working. Key Responsibilities Be the “go‑to” person for strategic planning, project flow and campaign troubleshooting. Oversee campaign timelines and deliverables, ensuring tasks across all channels are executed in the right sequence and adjusted as needed to achieve the best outcomes. Review under‑performing campaigns and guide the team to improve results. Help shape creative, tailored strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes for clients, not just technical wins. Ensure every client plan is joined up across channels and aligns with broader objectives, and supported by a clear, well‑managed delivery plan. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor and inspire the delivery team (SEO, PPC, CRO, Social Ads, Content) to deliver impactful, commercially‑driven work. Foster a culture of quality, creativity, accountability and cohesion across all delivery functions. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews and development sessions to accelerate learning and progression. Coach and develop the team to interpret & present data effectively, connect insights to business objectives, and build strong commercial understanding, linking marketing activity to ROI, profit and client retention. Quality & Delivery Oversight Own the quality of work produced across delivery disciplines. Review key deliverables (reports, strategies, optimisations) to ensure they’re insightful, actionable and aligned to client goals. Provide regular feedback and training/coaching that improves the team’s strategic thinking, creativity and commercial impact. Partner with Operations to ensure work is delivered efficiently, meeting agreed timelines and standards. Take a hands‑on role with a small number of key clients. Standardise our approach and continually improve how we tackle digital campaigns. Collaborate with leadership to evolve Echo’s digital marketing offering and internal systems as the agency grows, staying ahead of the curve (for example with AI). Work closely with Client Services and Operations teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment across departments. What we need from you Strong knowledge of Digital Marketing channels (Digital Strategy, SEO, PPC, SMA, CRO). You don’t have to be an expert in all but need to know what good looks like and be able to provide meaningful feedback. A positive individual who always strives to Be Better and deliver results. Ability to lead and motivate team members in a positive and progressive manner. Strong problem‑solving attitude and capability with a “can‑do” mindset. Detail‑oriented individual that is analytical and understands commercial marketing objectives. A client‑centric mindset that always strives to ensure we’re doing the best we can for them. Proven experience working on Digital Marketing campaigns, ideally in a digital agency or fast‑paced environment that has generated impressive results. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop great rapport with our team members.
