This is more than just a job; this is a legacy.This role is well suited to individuals with nuclear safety engineering and safety case production experience, although other relevant backgrounds will also be considered.Role title and scope: Senior Engineer - E3S Engineering Interface, involved in industry-leading, cutting-edge design projects for a new type of power station. You will be part of the Environment, Safety, Security and Safeguards (E3S) team and will proactively drive E3S into the design, providing advice and guidance in support of Engineering and others. You will work closely with designers and analysts to deliver E3S-informed design and contribute to achieving ALARP using best available techniques (BAT). Our directorate also provides regulatory interfacing efforts in support of national and international licensing. You will provide a principal interface with regulators and lead licensing activities for an engineering or analysis topic (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Severe Accident Analysis).
