Overview Community Staff Nurse 0-19 Universal Children’s Services We are currently seeking applications from enthusiastic staff nurses to work in Redbridge with our 0-19 skill mix team (Health Visiting and School Nursing). We currently have two vacancies within the team: one full time (37.5 hours) and one 3 days per week (22.5 hours). Both roles offer options for part-time, flexible and condensed hours. Join Redbridge's Integrated Universal and Early Intervention 0-19 team to develop in a progressive, innovative environment and enhance your career. Our vision for delivering the Healthy Child Programme, in partnership with key partners, is to ensure that every child in Redbridge has the very best start in life and grows up to be happy, safe, healthy, confident and resilient. We have a robust system of managerial, clinical and safeguarding supervision in place to support all staff. If you are interested in working for us, have good clinical skills, motivational skills as well as an understanding of key policies relating to children, we would like to hear from you. This would be a great opportunity to work within a supportive skill mix team and also use your own initiative to help develop in your career. Responsibilities We have a wide variety of trainings available within the Trust and our partner agencies to support your work in improving outcomes for children, young people and their families. We are looking for dynamic and motivated individuals who are highly skilled in communication, with a strong approach to teamwork. Successful candidates will be able to deliver appropriately delegated commissioned elements of the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) (DH 2009) and have experience in, or ambition to work in, multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings. Our nurses require a positive attitude towards actively engaging with a diverse range of clients in our Community. You will be able to participate in child health screening, health promotion activities and supporting parenting in a variety of environments including the family home, clinics, schools and Family Hubs. Your role will include identifying health needs with children and families and, in agreement with the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) across the 0-19 pathway, planning, delivering and reviewing appropriate and evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes for children and families. About the Trust and Induction Starting with NELFT: NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters join on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training and equipment allocation. Induction also includes opportunities to meet the executive team, senior managers and attend drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. Induction will be held at the Trust head office in Rainham, Essex. Employment Terms Probationary Period: This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff. High-Cost Area Supplement: This post attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum £4,714 and maximum £5,941) pro rata for part-time staff. Certificates of Sponsorship: Although we are a registered sponsor organisation, sponsorship is not available for all roles. Please check eligibility under the UKVI points-based system. When calculating basic salary for sponsorship, HCAS (High-Cost Area Supplement) is not included to ensure fairness and consistency within the Trust. Application Guidance Please see the attached job description and person specification for more information about this role and working at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. We encourage you to refer to this when completing your application. We welcome your application even if you do not meet all the criteria listed in the person specification. Some posts may close early to limit the number of applications. Advice About AI Applications for this role should be written by the applicant. If artificial intelligence (AI) programmes are used, the application may be rejected since this document is an important part of the assessment process. This does not prevent applicants from seeking appropriate support with applications for declared disabilities. Values Our Values 2025 - 2030: Working with colleagues, patients and carers we have coproduced three new values to embed within our culture at NELFT. They are: We are kind. We are respectful. We work together with our communities. These values help us to strive to provide the best care by the best people. This advert closes on Thursday 13 Nov 2025 #J-18808-Ljbffr
