OverviewYou will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality training initiatives to support the professional and personal development of the firm’s lawyers and business services colleagues. This will include both in-person and virtual delivery. You will identify training needs and design bespoke programmes, ensuring content is practical, accessible, and aligned with industry best practice and regulatory standards. You will create supporting materials and resources, evaluate the effectiveness of training through feedback and performance outcomes, and make improvements where needed.Alongside training delivery, you will supervise and mentor the E-Learning Developer, overseeing the quality and consistency of digital learning resources and ensuring they complement classroom delivery. You will support their professional development and help embed a blended learning approach across the firm.You will also be responsible for managing the full learning and development life cycle, from induction and internal communications through to evaluation and reporting. This will include maintaining accurate training records, ensuring compliance with mandatory requirements, and managing relationships with both internal stakeholders and external training providers. You will monitor industry trends and technologies to keep the firm’s learning practices current, and you will manage allocated budgets effectively, reporting on the return on investment of learning initiatives.Who you areYou have proven experience in a learning and development role, ideally within professional services or a legal environment. You are confident delivering training to audiences at all levels and have strong facilitation and presentation skills. You can design learning programmes that include both technical and soft skills, and you understand how to oversee digital learning platforms and resources. Previous experience supervising or mentoring others would be an advantage.You are highly organised, able to manage multiple projects, and skilled at building relationships across different teams. You communicate clearly, manage stakeholders effectively, and are committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning. Ideally, you hold a degree or equivalent experience, and qualifications in learning and development such as CIPD, LPI, or TAP would be desirable.
