The team works closely with our corporate department, offering a mix of trustee advisory, corporate support, and public sector pensions work, including LGPS and central government departments with multi-billion-pound liabilities. The team serves a client base that includes elite trustee clients and significant corporate project work.About The RoleThe team is expanding and seeking Pension lawyers who can be based from any regional office, particularly Bristol, Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, and Manchester. You will work alongside experienced pensions specialists and deliver technically excellent advice in a clear, accessible way. The firm supports growth, development, mentorship, and opportunities to shape the team’s future.Applications are invited from lawyers who have trained and qualified with a recognised pensions team. Ideally you will have between 2-10 years PQE, but all PQE levels are welcome as the team is in growth mode.Key ResponsibilitiesWork to a consistently high level and provide an exemplary level of client service and care.Engage in competent financial management and commercial awareness, including accurate time recording, billing, targets, and WIP management.Contribute to business development to retain existing clients and expand the client base.Maintain up-to-date technical expertise at all times.Take accountability for personal development and continuously develop interpersonal and soft skills.Operate in accordance with the SRA competence standards.Carry out other reasonable tasks as required from time to time.Your Skills And QualificationsDirectly relevant experience with the correct level of post-qualification experience for the role.Strong commercial acumen and understanding of client business.Proven track record of financial management, ability to meet client expectations, and sound case management skills.Good IT skills, experience with case management systems, electronic time recording, and Microsoft packages.Self-starting, friendly individual with excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to consistently demonstrate and embody the firm’s values.Company Values and Call to ActionSmart.
