The Senior Information Analyst is a key member of the Digital Data &Technology (DDaT) Operations team, adding value for our patients throughimproving and developing information services across the Trust and widerhealth and care system.Ensure the information is an effective component of the Trust's Digital Data& Technology (DDaT) target operating model, working alongside others,delivering continuous overall improvement.This role is part of supporting the 'engine room' of DDaT operations,transitioning from outsourced arrangements to an in-house delivery model.The post holder will support the Informatics Team Lead to ensure that theinformation team is able to successfully deliver on its service levelrequirements, working to transform trust data into timely accurateinformation.The post holder will provide insight and business intelligence to supportdefined areas of operational delivery across the organisation. The postholder will ensure that information services deliver for the overall Trustvision.They will ensure that essential systems, applications, infrastructure andinformation are enabled and managed with a consistent, expert andprofessional team, appropriate governance, structures, stakeholder buy-in,and supporting technology.Main duties of the jobSupport the business intelligence and information function to drive strategic decision-making to support the achievement of Trust and System objectives across the following areas; Statistics and planning, Benchmarking and Care Quality, Performance and Quality, Finance and Income Reporting, Activity and Cost, Operational Efficiency and Reporting.Guide and enhance operational teams' understanding of the intelligence and insights provided, supporting the informatics lead and principal analysts to work alongside clinicians and operational teams to understand their pressures and enable data to drive supportive action.Support clinicians and managers in their use and interpretation of information and promote a culture of good data quality and effective use of information.Gain & maintain full working knowledge of the Trust's information systems, ensuring at all times that any changes which may impact on specific analyses are incorporated.Produce & maintain routine information content using Trust information systems to meet Trust and NHS requirements and deadlines.Liaise with Trust information users to understand their requirements, and to evaluate and advise them on an appropriate analysis and presentation.Work closely with other colleagues ensuring triangulation between activity, finance, and workforce plans.Interpret national policy, and lead the assessment of the impacts locally (in terms of activity, and performance).About usDiversity makes us interesting... Utilise BI tools (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Qlik Sense and R) to deliver analytics and intelligence ensuring all data products are delivered to best practice.Provide analytical support to transformation programmes of work or pathway initiatives.Communicate within the Trust and across the health and care system on matters which are often highly sensitive, complex, and contentious in nature, relating to service improvement and reconfiguration where there will frequently be resistance to change. To support data-drive decision making by positively challenging consensus when insight conflicts with expected or preferred outcomes.Person SpecificationEducation, Qualification and TrainingEducated to degree level or equivalentMasters level degree or equivalent experience in a related subjectProficient user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and VisioCommitment and willingness to undertake on-going training and developmentNHS relevant Management qualification (e.g. inspirational leaders' course, Kings Fund Management course)ExperienceComprehensive experience of information management, including informatics, BI, analysis, manipulating large data setsHigh level of Proficiency in BI Tools; SQL, Power BI, RProven Ability to translate business requirements into delivered solutionsProven experience of applying methods and techniques for reporting progress and compliance against an agreed plan and business objectives to a range of senior managersDemonstrable ability to identify, plan and coordinate a set of related actions within a programme of business change and manage complex and multiple interdependencies in support of specific business strategies within a clinical IT environment to the successful achievement of planned business benefitsDemonstrable experience of involvement in the creation and presentation of business casesInformation management experience gained in both an Acute and Community settingSkills, Knowledge and AbilitiesAble to maintain productive working relationships with stakeholdersAble to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and secure cooperation with colleagues, verbally and in writingAble to present complex information to staff with limited technical knowledge, and differing levels of understanding and seniorityAbility to provide information reporting to a high standardAble to work independently and without supervision and be responsible for own workload, assuring agreed objectives are metAble to work under pressure with externally defined schedules, changing priorities and a complex and political agendaDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
