Our innovative credit risk indicators enable clients to better understand the financial health of entities globally.As we continue to scale, we are looking for a talented Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen our London-based Technology team and help us deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing systems that empower our business.The roleReporting to the Head of Technology, the Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in managing, supporting, and evolving Credit Benchmark’s IT infrastructure. This position requires both strong technical skills and the ability to provide excellent user support to colleagues across the business.You’ll split your time between operational IT support and ticket resolution—ensuring smooth day-to-day service delivery—and infrastructure projects that enhance scalability, resilience, and security. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on technical problem-solving while also contributing to longer-term system improvements.Your responsibilities will includeAct as the first point of contact for IT issues, providing responsive support for hardware, software, and network problems.Manage and resolve requests via Jira Service Desk, ensuring timely updates and clear communication with end users.Provide in-depth technical support for Windows desktop and server environments.Monitor and maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure (AWS & Azure).Implement and enforce security best practices across systems and services.Support user onboarding/offboarding and access management.Maintain and optimise network infrastructure including firewalls, VPN, DNS, and DHCP.Manage and improve backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.Develop automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to improve support efficiency.Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams to deliver infrastructure projects.Work with third-party vendors and service providers as needed.What we are looking forThe ideal candidate will bring experience in both infrastructure management and IT support service delivery, including:End-user support: Windows 11 desktop environments, Office 365, Slack, Jira, and common productivity tools.Cloud platforms: AWS (IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk), Entra AD.Networking: TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, firewall configuration and management.Virtualisation & storage: VMware, Veeam/Backup Exec or similar.Security: Endpoint protection, certificate management, patching, and compliance frameworks.Ticketing systems: Hands-on experience managing Jira Service Desk or equivalent.Automation & scripting: PowerShell, Python, or similar.Strong problem solver, good communicator, ability to prioritise, Intent to grownContainers (Docker/Kubernetes) and SQL Server administration are desirable.Information Security FocusSecurity is at the heart of what we do.
