Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our SEN team supporting children with Physical and Learning Multiple Disabilities (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities). This role is perfect for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the class teacher as a Teaching Assistant to provide individualised support
Assist pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities in both academic and daily living activities as a Teaching Assistant
Deliver small group interventions and 1:1 support as an SEN Teaching Assistant
Encourage independence, confidence, and social development in pupils
Support the class teacher in behaviour management and classroom organisation as a Teaching Assistant
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in an SEN or Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities setting
Knowledge of strategies to support children with physical and learning disabilities
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach as a Teaching Assistant
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant (desirable but not essential)
