Blending refined culinary craft with a relaxed yet elevated atmosphere, Omboo offers guests a dining journey that celebrates creativity, innovation, and cultural richness. We are currently seeking passionate Host to join our dedicated Omboo team, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and enjoys a seamless dining experience. Your role in our family: Welcome and greet guests with warmth and professionalism, creating an immediate positive impression. Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and the flow of the restaurant to maintain a smooth service. Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and explain any specials or key highlights of the dining experience. Assist with queries regarding the menu, special dietary requirements, or general hotel information. Support the front-of-house team during peak service times and Afternoon Tea service to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction. Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented entrance, lobby, and reception areas. Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and ensure every guest feels valued and cared for. Work collaboratively with the kitchen and service teams to ensure a seamless and high-quality dining experience. Take pride in your appearance, professionalism, and your contribution to upholding the standards of Sopwell House. What would make you the perfect fit? A genuine passion for food, beverage and hospitality. Previous experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or similar high-quality dining environment, with knowledge of pan-Asian cuisine or Afternoon Tea service is highly desirable. A friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently while remaining part of a close-knit team. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
