Sharp Consultancy are partnering with a well‑established and rapidly growing UK manufacturing and retail organisation, who are seeking a technically strong and ambitious Head of Financial Controls to oversee its financial reporting, control environment, and accounting governance.This business operates at scale and requires a strong technical leader to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across all finance processes.The Role:As Head of Financial Controls, you will take a leading role in managing both the Financial Accounts and Management Accounts functions. You will hold full balance sheet ownership, strengthen internal controls, and drive high‑quality reporting to support strategic decision‑making.Key Responsibilities:Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial accountsOversee the management accounts function, ensuring accurate and timely reportingOwn the full balance sheet, ensuring accurate reconciliations and strong governanceDevelop, maintain, and enhance internal financial controls and risk management processesWork closely with senior leaders to provide financial insight and challengeManage, mentor, and develop a skilled finance teamSupport external audits, statutory compliance, and regulatory requirementsDrive improvements across systems, reporting, and financial processesAbout You:Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalentStrong background in financial control, audit, or senior accounting rolesExcellent technical accounting skills with a strong eye for detailProven experience improving controls and balance sheet processesConfident communicator able to influence senior stakeholdersStructured, proactive, and comfortable in a fast‑moving environmentWhat’s on Offer:Competitive salary up to £60,000BonusCareer progression within a growing organisationSupportive working cultureOngoing training and developmentAttractive company benefitsFor further information or a private and confidential conversation either for this specific opportunity or your personal job search please contact Jack Curtis on 0114 261 1700 or 07496 364678.Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction. #J-18808-Ljbffr
