About the Company Our Client is a multi‑disciplinary consulting engineering practice specialising in mechanical and electrical services, with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and low‑carbon design. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic direction and technical leadership across all MEP engineering services. Oversee the design and delivery of MEP systems on a wide range of building projects. Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, industry standards and best‑practice guidelines. Lead and mentor the team with a firm “inward focus”. Undertake technical reviews and sign‑off of design documentation. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and design partners. Support the Directors in their efforts to secure new and repeat business opportunities. Contribute to the company’s overall strategic planning and direction as a key member of the leadership team. Promote a culture of innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement. Stay current with technological advances, regulations and industry trends. Required Skills and Experience Degree‑qualified in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Extensive MEP experience within a design environment. Experience in sustainable and low‑carbon building design. Proven experience in a senior leadership or director‑level role. Strong technical knowledge across both mechanical and electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to lead and grow high‑performing teams. Strong commercial awareness, resource management and project delivery skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal and client‑facing skills. Proficient in the use of relevant design software and BIM workflows. Desirable Skills and Experience Chartered Engineer status (CEng) and membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE, IET). Business development or client relationship management experience. Working knowledge of BREEAM, WELL, NABERS, etc. #J-18808-Ljbffr
