Overview Stantec have a new opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Water Sector team. This role can be based from either of our Manchester or Warrington office with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in‑office and home working. Our offices are located a few minutes from the train station and are located for public transport links. Stantec are an industry‑leading consultancy within the Water Sector. We are involved in a huge variety of projects across the sector – including those relating to water resources, wastewater networks and treatment, water treatment and supply, flood mitigation and other specialist areas. Our success has helped us grow as an organisation and this new opportunity is part of this growth. Key Responsibilities Work closely with our multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects at every stage of the project lifecycle. Build close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to cost and to a high level of quality. Exercise excellent client service as a core expectation of our Project Managers. Manage a portfolio of water sector projects, proactively identifying and mitigating risks across these projects. Ensure project success by managing project budgets and resources effectively. Qualifications Prior experience of project management – ideally having worked as a Project Manager within the water, energy or other utility/infrastructure sectors. Industry‑recognised project‑management qualification such as the APM's Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or a similar credential. Experience managing multiple deadlines and a proven track record of building successful working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Track record of successful project management with demonstrated proactive risk‑management and mitigation. A passion for innovation and client service, with a willingness to tackle a range of challenges as the team continues its growth within the sector.
