Senior Structural Engineer - High Rise Residential Senior Structural Engineer – High-Rise Residential (up to £60,000) Permanent | Leeds | Hybrid Working (2–3 days office-based) A leading structural engineering consultancy, renowned for delivering innovative high-rise residential towers across the UK, is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing Leeds team. The firm specialises in reinforced concrete structures for complex, tall buildings — with current projects reaching up to 60 storeys. Their collaborative environment brings together some of the industry’s top designers and technical specialists, offering the chance to work on landmark schemes shaping the modern skyline. The Role You’ll take the technical lead on major high-rise residential developments, overseeing design delivery from concept to construction. The position involves close coordination with architects and contractors, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring the structural integrity and buildability of large-scale RC frames. Key Responsibilities Lead the structural design of multi-storey reinforced concrete buildings Supervise and mentor design teams and graduate engineers Coordinate with architects, MEP, and construction teams to achieve efficient solutions Carry out technical reviews, analysis, and client presentations Oversee production of design documentation and ensure compliance with UK standards About You Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStructE) – essential Proven experience in design of reinforced concrete structures, ideally for high-rise residential projects Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills Proficiency in analysis/design software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, Tekla, Robot, etc.) Ambition to take ownership of high-profile, complex projects Package Salary up to £60,000, depending on experience Hybrid working (2–3 days office-based) Private healthcare and pension Professional development and support for further progression Join a team that’s redefining the skyline through world-class structural design and engineering excellence.
