Barbican Immersive are seeking a committed and experienced Exhibition Production Manager to lead the technical planning and delivery of a the Barbican Immersive exhibitions, experiences and productions. The Role The Exhibition Production Manager will work closely with the Senior Producer, Producer and Head of Creative Programming, to deliver our Exhibition programme.. The role will take particular responsibility for the detailed project management of the construction phase of the exhibition as well as the procurement of hi-spec audio visual equipment, ensuring both exhibition build and AV equipment are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest possible standard. The Exhibition Production Manager will ensure the highest standard of practice is delivered in design, build, procurement, risk management, Health & Safety, and the care of artworks, whilst working closely with curatorial and external stakeholders. You’ll have leading experience and knowledge of producing new exhibition build, multimedia commissions and art handling, including the installation of complex interactive art works. With an ability to understand plans and technical specifications, you’ll be a leading member of the team on issues relating to design, build and managing the key processes related to this. A broad understanding of new developments and best practice in the museum, gallery and immersive sector with regards to exhibition installation and design is expected, along with experience of Health & Safety at work in relation to risk management and CDM regulations.
