Senior Communications Integration EngineerJoin us as a Senior Communications Integration Engineer at QinetiQ’s Portsmouth site, working with cutting‑edge defence technology and innovative projects.The RoleAs a Senior Communications Integration Engineer, you will provide subject‑matter expertise and technical leadership to support the delivery of multi‑bearer, networked information systems from experimentation through to operational service.On a day‑to‑day basis you will lead project teams, forge strong collaborative relationships, and develop comprehensive solutions for new and existing customers.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeDelivering projects and providing technical leadership for programme, project, and bidding activitiesContributing to the development of the company and customer strategic intent in experimentationProviding technical assurance in line with statutory, regulatory, company, and project standardsManaging design certifications, technical delivery plans, high‑level documentation, detailed design documentation, testing schedules, and experimental plansCollaborating with multiple business areas across functions, resources, and activitiesEssential Experience of the Senior Communications Integration EngineerStrong knowledge of systems utilising the full frequency spectrumExperience in requirements capture, integration planning, and testingIn‑depth knowledge of commercial telecommunications technologies (microwave, Wi‑Fi, 4G LTE)Extensive experience within the communications industryStrong understanding of Systems Engineering principlesDetailed knowledge of uncrewed platform communications requirements and techniquesEssential Qualifications for the Senior Communication Integration EngineerDegree‑level qualification or equivalent experienceThis role is 37 hours per week based at PTP, Portsmouth, and is on‑site five days per week.Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is a key QinetiQ facility focused on advanced technology development and engineering services, using sophisticated modelling and simulation techniques to analyse and predict performance.Why Join QinetiQ?QinetiQ offers an exciting environment for innovative teams, encouraging collaboration across disciplines and technologies to solve complex problems in an inclusive culture.
