Join us a Senior Communications Integration Engineer at our Portsmouth site where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.The RoleAs a Senior Communications Integration Engineer you will provide subject matter expertise and Technical Leadership to support the delivery of multi-bearer networked information systems from the experimentation phase design and delivery by transitioning them into service.Day-to-day youll lead project teams to deliver complex solutions forging strong collaborative working relationships to develop great solutions for both new and existing customers.Your responsibilities will include:Being responsible for delivery and providing technical leadership for programme project and bidding activitiesContributing towards the development of the company/customers strategic intent in the area of experimentationProviding technical leadership and support to the business both in delivery or programmes and bidding activitiesProviding technical assurance with an excellent understanding of appropriate technical standards that comply with statutory regulatory company and project specific processes and proceduresResponsibility for design certifications technical delivery plans High level documentation detailed design documentation testing schedules and experimental plansCollaborating with multiple areas of the business across functions resources and activitiesEssential experience of the Senior Communications Integration Engineer:A strong knowledge of systems utilising the full frequency spectrumPrevious experience of requirements capture integrations planning and testingIn depth knowledge of commercial telecommunications technology i.e microwave Wi-Fi 4G LTEExtensive experience working within the communications industryA strong understanding of Systems Engineering principlesDetailed knowledge of uncrewed platform communications requirements and techniquesEssential qualifications for the Senior Communication Integration Engineer:Degree level qualification or equivalent experienceThis role is 37 hours per week based at PTP Portsmouth. This role is on-site 5 days per weekPortsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is one of QinetiQs key facilities focusing on advanced technology development and engineering services. It is dedicated to research and development ensuring that complex systems are designed integrated and tested effectively to meet operational requirements.
