Event Content Producer Department: Commercial - Events Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Oxford, UK Description We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual to produce and coordinate the content for some of our annual industry‑leading conferences which are unique and unmissable for the energy sector, bringing together over 2,000 attendees each year. In this role you will take the ownership of event content, working with Aurora’s senior management to define everything from overall event concept/topical focus right through to the theme for specific sessions and line‑up of speakers together with securing sponsorship. You will coordinate the content for these events from initial planning through to running the event on the day and post‑event activities, including coming with suggestions for topics & speakers, coordinating speaker participation, helping with publicising the event, making sure that everything runs smoothly on the day from a content point of view, and following up with various stakeholders post event. The role will also involve coming up with original ideas for our events and continuously working to improve our event strategy. You will be a valued member of our Events team, reporting to the Events Manager for our large events and working alongside colleagues at all levels. Good understanding of the energy industry mainly in Europe, and ideally across the globe, is vital for this role. Key Responsibilities Produce and coordinate the content for Aurora’s high‑profile and market‑leading conferences and work with Aurora’s senior management to define topics and line‑up of speakers; Draft event and session blurbs and work with the Marketing team to promote the events; Aurora Energy Research auroraer.com Secure sponsorship for the events you will be responsible for and reach our event’s KPIs for sponsorship revenue; Contribute to achieving the targets for your events including revenue and number of participants; Coordinate external and internal speakers in line with the topical focus of the event, including acting as main contact point, providing details of the event, collecting headshot pictures & bios, answering any request they might have and making sure they have a great experience during the day; Main point of contact for the sponsors of your event and coordinate with these companies when it comes to collecting any information needed for the event and providing the services agreed in the sponsorship agreements; Orchestrate all necessary activities from a content point of view during the day; Follow up with various stakeholders post event and contribute to the event highlights; Contribute with original ideas to constantly improve our events strategy. What we are looking for Required attributes: Good understanding of the energy industry mainly in Europe, and ideally across the globe; Proven experience of coordinating large events; Ability to create marketable session descriptions and agendas; Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a range of activities effectively to deadline and under pressure; Ability to multi‑task and re‑prioritise in a fast‑paced and demanding environment; Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with senior‑level executives; Enthusiastic team player with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and wider stakeholders; Good PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills. Desired attributes: An extensive network in the energy industry across Europe and ideally US; Demonstrated success in business events content coordination; Demonstrated success in securing sponsorship for events; Experience with event management tools (e.g. Asana) and event platforms (e.g. Stova).
