I’m working on behalf of a stable, nurturing children’s residential home in Birmingham (B23) seeking a Registered Manager to lead their team. The home currently accommodates 3 children with plans to expand to 6 in the future and provides specialist support for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced, compassionate manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the home. You will work alongside a supportive deputy manager and an experienced staff team to ensure children receive safe, nurturing, and structured care tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the residential home, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and progress of the children.
*
Support and mentor the deputy manager and staff team, promoting professional development.
*
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including Ofsted requirements.
*
Develop and implement care plans for children with EBD, ensuring personalised, high-quality care.
*
Build strong relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
*
Support the home’s future expansion to 6 beds, ensuring smooth operational growth.
Candidate Requirements:
*
Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting.
*
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
*
Knowledge and experience of supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
*
Committed to providing nurturing, stable, and structured care.
