Whether it’s specifying instrumentation, designing control systems, or integrating with other engineering disciplines, your work will have a direct impact.You don’t need deep experience in every part of EC&I or the energy sector to succeed here. If you bring strong C&I fundamentals, a proactive mindset, and a desire to grow, we’ll support you every step of the way.Join us, and help shape how Technica delivers its 5-Year strategy — through innovation, collaboration, and design excellenceHow you’ll ContributeYou’ll be accountable for delivering control and instrumentation designs from concept through to final sign-off — ensuring every detail aligns with the technical requirements and what success looks like for the clientYou’ll:Prepare and check C&I detailed design documentation.Work from P&IDs and site layouts.Prepare and check C&I drawings including general arrangements, cables routes, block diagrams, loops sheets, hook-ups.Prepare and check control panel designs including general arrangements and wiring diagrams.Specify equipment and prepare and check C&I datasheets.Prepare and check C&I schedules including I/O, cable, instrument list etc.Perform design calculations including IS, power, heat loss.Prepare and check scope of work and other associated design documentation.Liaise with other members of the design team.Liaise with clients, contractors and vendors.Work to client, national and international standards and regulations.Adhere to company quality and standards.Carry out work in a safe and effective manner.Attend training, develop and maintain skills.What you’ll bringProficiency in control systems design and implementationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesHNC Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or related field3 years C&I design experienceGas and ATEX ExperienceRelevant industry certificationsElectrical experience and knowledgeWhat you’ll get£ salary, based on experience25 days holiday + bank holidaysPrivate healthcare (plus family options)Company pensionDeath in Service & Critical Illness coverWork from Grimsby or Congleton- Dynamic working 2 days per week minimum working from your nearest officeRecognition scheme & genuine commitment to your developmentReady to lead with trust?This isn’t just another Designer role.
