The Cancer Referrals Service is responsible for the booking of all urgent suspected cancer for all specialities within the national cancer targeted time. The cancer data and referrals officer will communicate effectively with patients, GP practices, the public and staff working in various departments across the organisations. The post holder will manage GP referral bookings through the ERS system, processing the GP urgent USC Proformas and will be responsible for ensuring the electronic referral bookings system works effectively at Homerton Healthcare. The post holder will ensure all appropriate processes are used for all our various specialities. The Cancer data and Referrals officer will be responsible for flagging 14 days breaches to the Cancer Services Manager and for liaising with relevant Services for any USC capacity issues. An exciting opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Cancer referrals office for a motivated, enthusiastic and self‑driven individual to undertake a role as a Cancer Data and Referrals Officer. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to manage the urgent GP referrals booking system. The post holder will play a key role in making sure that the Trust meets internal cancer targets and alert the Cancer Manager if they foresee any breaches. The post holder will communicate with all levels of the clinical and admin teams to ensure that patients are booked and attend appointments within the targeted time. You will be a part of the Cancer Referrals team and will have excellent organisational and communication skills, and be committed to customer care.
