Seniority level Entry level Job function Management and Manufacturing Industries Civic and Social Organizations About our Driver role As a Driver, you will transport adults with special needs to and from our day service and local activities, creating a warm and welcoming journey for passengers and building professional relationships and trust with parents/carers. You will also be responsible for keeping vehicles clean, roadworthy, and ready for each trip. The service will cover daytime activities, including leisure trips such as swimming, community visits, bowling, museums, local parks/farm trips, and in‑house activities such as drama and virtual sessions. Applicants must demonstrate a good understanding of the importance of empowerment and choice for individuals and their independence. Responsibilities Drive adults with special needs safely and reliably to and from various locations. Build and maintain professional relationships with passengers, parents, and carers. Keep the vehicle clean, roadworthy, and prepared for each journey. Work well with a passenger assistant member. Undergo an enhanced DBS and medical check. Qualifications & Skills A caring, patient nature. D1 minibus licence with no more than 6 points. The ability to follow instruction. Adopt a flexible approach to work. A willingness and desire to develop. Teamplayer. Effective communication skills in written and spoken English. Desire to make a difference.
