Oakwood Ward is an acute Mental Health Ward based at Carleton Clinic in Carlisle. Oakwood is for older adults who require a bed on a needs led basis due to their frailty/vulnerability. they will be experiencing an acute episode of mental distress that is not manageable within a community setting.Main duties of the jobYou will work jointly with the Specialist Nurse offering effective leadership and day to day management of the team.Day to day management of the team includes recruitment of staff, conducting appraisals, managing performance and supporting the health and well-being of staff.The Clinical Manager will also be available to offer guidance and support on a daily basisYou should have a collaborative and enthusiastic style as well as a passion and commitment to networking with other services.If you feel you are motivated, have excellent communication skills and consider yourself a natural leader, then this could be opportunity you have been waiting for.About usWe aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future.
