Fundraising Data & Research Officer DiverseJobsMatter Our client is seeking a Database & Research Officer to join their Advancement (fundraising) team. This newly created role is designed to strengthen fundraising effectiveness, stewardship and prospect research by providing high-quality database management, analysis and insight. The successful candidate will play an essential role in enhancing income generation through rigorous data processes, donor research and CRM‑led decision making. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, CRM expertise and an interest in supporting arts, culture or charitable organisations. The role is full time and offered on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent. Responsibilities Manage and maintain the organisation’s CRM system, ensuring data integrity, accuracy and compliance. Lead prospect research to identify new partners, donors and trusts that can contribute to income growth. Deliver data segmentation and reporting to inform fundraising strategy, retention and acquisition plans. Reconcile donations, administer gift aid processes and maintain accurate financial records within the CRM. Track supporter pipelines, stewardship activities and cultivation plans. Produce reports and insights to support the wider Advancement team. Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes, working collaboratively with colleagues across fundraising and administration. Requirements Proven experience in prospect research and identifying donor or funding opportunities. Strong working knowledge of a CRM system (experience with Tessitura or similar is highly desirable). Demonstrated experience in data segmentation, reporting and analysis within a fundraising or non‑profit context. High‑level administrative skills, with experience reconciling income and managing financial data. Strong organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail. An interest in working within an arts, culture or charitable environment, with alignment to organisational values. Ability to work flexibly, including regular on‑site days as required. Full‑time, 35 hours per week, with flexible working options (minimum three office‑based days). 12‑month fixed‑term contract with potential for extension or permanency.
