The Mid/West Dorset Locality (Bridport and Dorchester) Community Mental Health Teams are looking for a part time Team Secretary to aid in the provision of a flexible, comprehensive, effective and confidential administrative support service. To ensure the provision of an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative support including dealing with telephone enquiries, relatives, carers, GPs and other agencies, maintaining good communication between staff members of the Trust, GP Practices and outside representatives, and demonstrating discretion and confidentiality. The role requires a calm, approachable manner to manage a busy working environment as the first point of contact for people wishing to access the specialist service. Key Responsibilities Record and action referrals received on behalf of the team on the service user electronic records system as directed by the Clinical Team Leader. Have access to team diaries for the purpose of planning and organising events and activities, including organising meetings, attending as required and taking/transcribing formal minutes at meetings. Maintain accurate electronic records of service user personal data, including scanning and uploading all documents, and entering appointments. Undertake audio and copy typing of medical letters, appointment letters, assessment letters, and reports, ensuring high quality, accuracy and adherence to Trust standards.
