Overview We are looking for one Senior Clinical Fellow for Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich ICU. This is a full‑time, fixed‑term post lasting six months, commencing in May 2026 and ending in October 2026. The role will cover for a colleague on secondment and will be based entirely within the Critical Care Unit. Responsibilities Assess each patient daily on the ward round and plan patient care under the supervision of the Critical Care Consultant. Participate in the ongoing medical care of all patients on the unit alongside team members. Attend morning and evening handover rounds, presenting patients to the Critical Care Resident and to the night shift team. Document and execute a clinical management plan with the Critical Care Consultant throughout the day or on call at night. Work within an EWTD compliant 1:6 rota, providing prospective cover for annual and study leave. Support and collaborate with at least two junior doctors on long days and nights. About the Unit The Critical Care Unit has 19 beds (6 isolated) and admits approximately 900 patients per year. The unit subscribes to ICNARC and is supervised by ICU consultants who provide 24‑hour supervision, lead ward rounds, and support junior staff.
