We are seeking an experienced Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join an established and entrepreneurial mid-sized personal lines insurance company.This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on operational leader who can drive change, optimize processes, and enhance overall business performance within a complex, regulated environment. The role could become a permanent one after completion of an initial phase of embedding changes "fixing" following a productivity review; and then creating new and robust capability to support the long term growth and vision of the company.Role & Responsibilities:Lead the operational strategy and execution to support the company’s growth objectives.Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.Implement and refine processes to enhance customer experience and operational performance.Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align operational plans with business goals.Provide leadership to the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, partners, and clients.Drive the development and implementation of new operational initiatives and projects.Analyze and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.The Desired Candidate:Proven experience in a senior operations or COO role, ideally within the insurance sector and ideally within a company offering multi-channel distribution.Strong strategic planning skills with a hands-on approach to execution.Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within a complex, regulated environment.Experience with transformation initiatives; experience with automation, machine learning, AI and strategic outsourcing.Excellent problem-solving skills, focusing on efficiency and process optimization.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.Why Apply?This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned operations leader to make a significant impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
